July Garden Calendar

- Water your garden if we do not get an inch of rain in a week
-Use Gator bags or soaker hoses to water a deep watering
-Last chance to pinch mums back
-Keep your pets in fresh cool drinking water
-Walk your dog early in the morning before it gets really hot
-Keep your feathered friends in fresh cool water in bird baths
-Outdoor pet rabbits enjoy a frozen plastic bottle of water to keep cool in the heat!
-Fertilize vegetable gardens once a month during the growing season, we suggest
organic Garden Tone
-Roses should be fertilized monthly during the growing season, we suggest organic Rose Tone
-Crape Myrtles are starting to bloom and will give you 100 days of color! It is not too
late to plant one!
-Cut back summer annuals so they don’t become leggy
-Keep herbs from going to seed
